The time of 3G and Smart phone has come, and the China’s cell phone industry is facing greater challenges than ever at this moment. On the one hand, the sales of 2G feature phone is slowing down, on the other hand, it’s more difficult for most of China’s ODMs and IDHs to design and sell 3G/Smart phone because they don’t have brand influence and turnkey solutions.
The 3G/Smart Phone Forum will discuss the challenges and solutions for China’s cell phone manufacturers and IDHs, including using EDGE or similar smart phone to extend the life of 2G cell phone industry or coming into the 3G/Smart phone industry uncompromisingly, selecting the suitable technology platform and OS for smart phone, and how to innovate by peripheral devices like sensor, screen, etc.
